It doesn’t matter whether it’s remodeling a kitchen or bathroom, adding a new room to the home or tearing down a wall to enlarge a room, when it comes to renovations house, there’s a lot that can be done.  There are several things to do before hiring a London Builder when considering a renovation, such as:  

For homeowners who are looking at Renovations, House; they should consider all areas before ever starting the project.  Make sure all aspects are considered, get some recommendations for the local London Builder, then get several bids before signing the contract to remodel the home.  Remodeling the house and modernizing it adds value to the home and creates a great new look.

1. Make a list of the areas that need to be renovated.
2. Know what parts of the Renovations for the house can be put on the Do-It-Yourself list and which jobs required professionals.
3. Do some research and determine which jobs require permits.
4. When all the renovations are decided upon, make sure there is sufficient funding before starting the projects.
5. Make sure the foundation is secure and the roof is intact and undamaged before undertaking any renovations.  If either needs to be repaired, make sure the foundation is repaired first, and then repair or replace the roof.
6. Take a look at the windows and siding and replace those if any need to be replaced or if the siding needs to be repaired.
7. Be sure to get recommendations for the major work that requires carpenters and contacting the Better Business Bureau is always a good idea to find out about local carpenter’s reputations.  Make sure they have a good reputation and are good at what they are doing before ever allowing one to start removing walls or adding walls.
8. If new central heating or air conditioning is to be installed, it will require electrical and plumbing contractors make sure they have experience putting these systems in before hiring them.
9. If flooring has to be installed, some people that are good Do-It-Yourselfers are fully capable of laying tiles or linoleum squares, but for stone, ceramic, or other forms of flooring, it’s best to get the professionals – particularly if supporting structure needs to be added because the ceramic or stone is heavier.
10. Many people will add a sunroom, game room, garden room, or even an extra bedroom to the home, and if there is a large renovation, the other renovations house should be finished first before the extra room is added.  One reason for this is simply funds.  It’s best to get that foundation, roof, electrical, plumbing and walls repaired and ensuring the funds are available before ever tackling the new playroom. 
11. If the additional room is added on the second story, it’s imperative that the foundation can handle the added weight, and the roof is sound.  If the new room is added at ground level, additional foundation is required in addition to roofing and other materials.  In many cases, it’s cheaper to add onto a second story.
