The Chinese Church in Brook Green, London W6, is a busy place of worship, with beautiful period facilities perfect for weddings and special occasions. The building also accommodates a One World Montessori Nursery.
Sigma Construction Ltd secured the tender to refurbish the kitchen, and install new commercial kitchen equipment to cope with large capacity functions. In order to complete the work to the highest standards, the kitchen and adjacent rooms were handed over to Sigma for five weeks to be completely refurbished from top to bottom.
We began work on 5th January 2011: all areas were completely gutted, and unwanted existing equipment and old pipe work and electrics were removed
After completing building works, we started installating the kitchen on 19th January, which involved installing a new ceiling, plastering the walls, and fitting new, wider, fireproof doors.
This is the list of other works that were carried out during commercial kitchen installation:
- complete rewiring
- fitting new gas pipe to cooker
- running new water and waste plumbing throughout
- fitting Altro Safety flooring
- fitting electronic fire resistant shutters
- fitting new extraction canopy
- supplying, installing and commissioning new equipment
- tiling walls where not already covered with stainless steel splashbacks

The project was completed and handed over, on time, and on budget, on the 15th February 2010.
